Grade 3 reading
Before you start
- The child works alone and reads everything on screen. Nothing is read aloud to them, because reading is what is being checked.
- There are five parts: reading words, what words mean, two stories, two articles, and spelling.
- The stories and articles stay on screen while the questions are answered. Looking back at the text is allowed and expected.
- If the child does not know an answer, press I don’t know. Guessing makes the placement worse, not better.
- It takes about 40 minutes. A break between parts is fine, but do not close or refresh this page, or the answers are lost.
- Nothing is saved. The results appear on screen at the end, to read or print.
