What you can learn

Choose from our two core study tracks, built to give learners a complete foundation.

Islamic & Arabic Studies

These courses cover sacred knowledge sent down by Allah, along with the foundational skills a student needs to study and understand it. They focus on the Holy Qur'an and its deeper meanings, core beliefs, acts of worship, and Islamic character. They also include the study of the Arabic language in which the revelation was sent. All subjects are taught in structured levels, making them accessible to everyone from absolute beginners to advanced students.

General Academics

These courses cover knowledge developed through human effort, discovery, and critical thinking. They focus on subjects built around reading, mathematics, scientific testing, and observation—including literature, geography, history, and art. All subjects are taught progressively by grade level, starting from kindergarten and moving upward.

How every course works

1. Read one distraction-free page

Each lesson is presented on a single, full-width page. There are no sidebars, banners, or popups to pull your attention away from the text.

2. Take an immediate quiz

Answer questions on what you just read. Quizzes are marked right away so you get instant feedback. For our youngest learners, questions appear directly on the lesson page itself. If you do not pass, retake the quiz as many times as you need, every retake is a completely fresh attempt.

3. Pass to move forward

The next lesson opens only after you score 90% or higher (with a few exceptions noted in specific courses). Locked lessons remain visible in your syllabus with a simple line explaining what to finish first. Nobody skips ahead, and struggling learners are never pushed forward until they understand the material.

What a school gets

Who is behind Islamic Masterclass

Islamic Masterclass was created by EPIC (Eden Prairie Islamic Center) and Mubeen Books. Since 2019, our educators have taught children in full-time classrooms and weekend schools. These online courses are the very lessons we use in our daily teaching, written by the teachers who stand in front of the classroom.

Nothing on this site is generated automatically for a child. Every single lesson page and quiz question was individually written, reviewed by experienced educators, and imported by hand.

Common questions

Who is it for?

Islamic Masterclass is for children from age 5, Kindergarten through Grade 6, learning at home or in schools. It is also designed for older students and adults studying on their own, including adults learning Arabic and Tafseer from the very beginning.

Are the lessons Islamic, secular, or both?

Both, taught side by side in two tracks:

  • Islamic & Arabic Studies: Shajarah and Aṭwār (Islamic Studies), Tafseer, and Bunyān Arabic.
  • General Academics: Spectra Math, Reading, Phonics, Literature, Science, Engineering, History, Geography, Art, and Knowledge.

Both tracks follow the exact same standards and rules. You can choose a plan that includes both tracks, or sign up for a single track at a lower price.

Is anything free?

Yes. You can explore several parts of the site without an account:

  • Course List: Browse every course, chapter, and lesson title.
  • Free Video Library: Watch short educational videos sorted by subject and grade for Kindergarten through Grade 6.
  • Placement Tests: Take reading and math placement tests for Kindergarten through Grade 3.

To open full lessons and take quizzes, you will need a paid plan.

What is the 90% rule?

Lessons unlock in order. Before moving to the next lesson, a student must pass the current one with a score of at least 90%. In most courses, this means passing the quiz at the end of the lesson; in our youngest courses, it means answering the questions directly on the lesson page. A few specific courses have different passing marks, which are noted on the site. Bunyān Arabic Level K and Level 1 pass at 70%. Students can retake quizzes as many times as they need, and every retake is a fresh attempt.

What do parents see?

Parents have a single dashboard that shows every child in one place. You can view:

  • The lesson each child is currently working on
  • Lessons attempted and quizzes taken
  • Best scores and assigned work
  • Every question from every quiz attempt, showing the answer your child selected and the correct answer

Children never see answer keys.

What do teachers get?

Teachers receive classroom tools that include:

  • A class join code for students
  • A class roster with individual student progress
  • Lesson-by-lesson scores for every student
  • Detailed question breakdowns showing what each student answered correctly or missed
  • Assignment tools with due dates
