Spectra Reading — Grade 3
beginnerThis course teaches students to understand how a character feels, find reasons given in a text, and tell fact from opinion. Students also learn to work out a word from the meaning the sentence gives, track cause and effect, and identify the main idea of a paragraph. They develop these abilities by reading short stories and nonfiction passages about topics such as pitching a tent, volcanoes, and caring for a class hamster.
